Last night brought the first real thunderstorm of the summer. I got lucky with some continuous shooting and caught this shot.
Anyone have any tips/tricks for catching great lightning photo’s?

The Humming Birds…

While at camp last weekend, my Dad put the hummingbird feeders out. We were sitting on the deck and they started to come around, so I proceeded to take around 30 pictures of them 😀

I have to apologize for my absence, things have just been a little hectic lately!
A few things that have happened/I have figured out in my absence;
- In the 3.5 months that I have had my camera, I have taken 1599 photos, averaging out to 15 photos per day
- I finally had enough of my kit lens (18-55mm) and bought a Canon EF-S 15-85mm lens (a partial early Father’s Day gift! Thanks Tiff!!)
- I actually do miss posting on the blog, even though it os the same few people who always comment to me about it.
- I really, really need to design a logo to place as a watermark on my photos, my name one is getting lame.
In three days up at camp over the Victoria Day long weekend, I took over 300 photos, so I hope everyone is ready for a barrage of posts!
Hoover House, York University Campus…

While down in Toronto the other day, I had some time to kill on the campus of York University, Keele Campus. I went for a walk with my camera in tow and stumble upon this place. Really wished that the windows were’t boarded up, but I am assuming it was done because people had already smashed their way in. Hope you enjoy the shots!
The hotel that I stayed in the other night actually contained some art on the walls and this beauty on a shelf! Of course I had to get some photos!

After a rough day of work, I decided it was time to crack a beer. The sun was shining in through the patio door and lit the pint glass up. I had to get a photo!
While out for a walk the other day, this sun dog popped up. Not the best one I have ever seen, but the first one since I started carrying the camera around with me.
